COMPANY PICNICS & FAMILY EVENTS Many organizations have family picnics and holiday family events. It can be challenging finding entertainment that appeals to all ages. Ben’s uses magic tricks and smart humor to create situations that are funny to both young and old alike. This is family appropriate fun where the adults don’t feel like they’re just watching a children’s show. With almost 25 years of experience performing for family audiences at Adventureland Amusement park, you are guaranteed a great show! Ben suggests for most family events that you keep families together. Separating the children from the adults – having the kids all sit up front – often creates a situation where the adults feel they can converse with each other in the back. This creates a distraction and a bad example. Why expect the children to stay quiet and enjoy the show, when the adults aren’t? When families sit together, the parents become included in the show and that makes a better audience. If having a social time for the adults is important, consider using a separate room for a children’s only oriented magic show. Ben offers these family shows for both outdoor and indoor venues: Solo Family Magic Act This comedy-magic act uses both original and classic magic routines along with clean, intelligent humor. Ben creates hilarious and memorable situations with both children and adult volunteers who help make each performance unique and special. Length: 45 minutes (can be any length up to 45 minutes.) Perfect for any venue with seating from 15 to 1000. Family Magic Act with Special Finale You can add either of these special ‘two person’ finales to Ben’s solo comedy magic act. ‘The Trunk Trick’ finale is a favorite. The Trunk Trick is a very funny, high energy, finale that involves Ben's wife, a steamer trunk, the Lone Ranger theme, and a comedy of errors! ‘Cutting A Spectator In Half’ is a fun series of surprises. An suspecting volunteer is prepped to become a new magic assistant for the show and then finds out she is to be cut in half. Laughter becomes amazement when we actually pull this off. You will not believe your eyes! Length: 60 minutes (can be any length up to 60 minutes.) May have some special staging considerations. Perfect for most venues with seating from 15 to 1000. Illusion Show This show combines Ben’s comedy magic act with several larger ‘two person’ routines. More music, more pizzazz— a true magic show! These are the routines that have made Ben and his wife a 22 year success at Adventureland Amusement park. Length: 65—70 minutes (can be any length up to 80 minutes.) There are certain staging requirements. Perfect for any venue with seating from 15 to 2000. Ben brings his own sound system and lighting and can provide full backdrop system.. Children's Show Ben also offers a child focused show that uses only children volunteers and his high energy fun to have the kids ‘rolling in the aisles’. This show requires that 75% of the audience be children only. Length: 35 to 45 minutes Perfect for any venue with seating from 15 to 400 Ben has also consulted on helping special guests make a magical entrance. Santa Claus is a favorite!  |
