TRADESHOWS & CONVENTIONS For convention and trade show organizers, Ben performs stage shows, strolling magic, ‘street’ shows and can emcee ongoing variety shows. For venders, Ben’s magic is a great way to attract people to your booth with his ‘street’ show. There have also been venders who have ‘sponsored’ Ben as a strolling entertainment act who performs throughout the venue and includes a small advertising plug for them. Solo Comedy Magic Act This comedy-magic act uses both unique and classic magic routines and clean, intelligent humor, Ben creates hilarious and memorable situations with audience members who help make each performance unique and special. Length: Three different 20 minutes shows, two 30 minute shows, or one headline performance up to 65 minutes. Perfect for any venue with seating from 15 to 1000. Comedy Magic Act with Special Finale You can add either of these special ‘two person’ finales to Ben’s solo comedy magic act. ‘The Trunk Trick’ finale is a favorite. The Trunk Trick is a very funny, high energy, finale that involves Ben's wife, a steamer trunk, the Lone Ranger theme, and a comedy of errors! ‘Cutting A Spectator In Half’ is a fun series of surprises. An suspecting volunteer is prepped to become a new magic assistant for the show and then finds out she is to be cut in half. Laughter becomes amazement when we actually pull this off. You will not believe your eyes! Length: 65—70 minutes (can be any length up to 80 minutes.) May have some special staging considerations. Perfect for most venues with seating from 15 to 1000. Illusion Show This show combines Ben’s comedy magic act with several larger ‘two person’ routines. More music, more pizzazz— a true magic show! These are the routines that have made Ben and his wife a 22 year success at Adventureland Amusement park. Length: 65—70 minutes (can be any length up to 80 minutes.) There are certain staging requirements. Perfect for any venue with seating from 15 to 2000. Ben brings his own sound system and lighting and can provide full backdrop system.. Strolling Magic A strolling magician circulates around and approaches people at tables or standing in small groups. He performs a short, intimate show that is repeated for each new group. Street Show (or Booth Act) The name comes from the way that a ‘street performer’ deals with mobile audiences. It does not have to be performed ‘on a street’ but refers to any situation where a large number of people are moving and the magician remains in the same spot and performs short shows. He attracts attention to himself, builds a crowd from the people passing by, performs a few routines, and then lets them walk on. He repeats this process, usually performing the same show. Ben can perform at your counter or from his own table drawing attention and bring people into your booth with quick, interactive magic routines. He can include your messages and personalized props to help promote your product and services.  |
